This year for my mother's birthday, I was looking for something both creative and different. After some digging on the Internet for products I found The Birthday Chronicle. The Birthday Chronicle is a personalized (8 1/2 x 11) mini-newspaper front page, going back as far as January 1, 1900 up to December 31, 2011. Your Birthday Chronicle includes a greeting, by name, from the then-President of the United States, plus newspaper headlines and stories from the year of your birth. I thought that was the coolest thing.

After getting the link for my personalized Birthday Chronicle for my mother, I immediately printed it out on the nicest paper I could find. Since it is printable at home and fits a normal sized piece of paper, you can use any kind or color paper you choose. I put it in a nice folder, wrote her name on it and gave it to her. She loved it! It was all personalized with everything from the year of her birth.

The Bed Wedge Review & GIVEAWAY

I wanted to share something I found out about with everyone! I have a really cool headboard, it’s green and black marble with a very nice mirror set up on it and a queen sized bed. The problem is my bed and headboard are not connected and they do not meet directly against each other, so you know what happens? I lose EVERYTHING behind my bed. It’s a mess! Just when you think the remote has gotten up and walked away you realize it’s in between the mattress and the headboard, and before you know it I am squishing my arm to get it. Or how about when I sleep and my pillows get sunk into the black hole? I hate that. I mentioned it to my significant other one day, by saying “ Honey, we need to push the bed closer to the headboard or do something because I hate my pillows being sunk in.” His response I don’t think I will ever stop laughing about, “That’s why I sleep with 3 pillows, so when I wake up in the morning I know I will at least have 1 left.” He was serious, which made it even more hysterical. Does anyone else have that problem? YES THEY DO! I finally found a solution, The Bed Wedge!

I heard about this product and it seemed like exactly what I needed. Who would’ve thought anyone had a solution to what would seem like a minor problem? The little things make huge differences so I contacted them and made sure I got one. I LOVE IT! We put it on our bed the day we got it. It was sized just for the Queen sized bed which is what I asked for, however they have all sizes available. It was really soft and sturdy and felt so good. I simply put it onto my bed in the crack and when I put my pillows on top I noticed they were propped up just slightly. I slept so well and guess what? I had all my pillows when I woke up! I think I really like that it is soft yet sturdy, and that if you set it that way, you can slightly prop your pillows up, or you can wedge it deeper for a flatter surface. Pirate Party Games Pack Review and Giveaway

When I was given the chance to review the Pirate Party Games Pack I was ecstatic to say the least. I had an upcoming birthday party for my child who was turning an exciting 9 years old. We have had birthday parties at every place you could think of within our neighboring cities and all the normal places you would have parties for children. This year, however, my child wanted a party at home with all her friends which would command my genius in coming up with activities to keep them busy! Those children had a blast! My child is going through the “Bird Lover” phase so this was great for her and her friends who jumped right in! In lieu of the traditional Pin The Tail On The Donkey they have Pin The Parrot On The Pirate! It was awesome! Once you print it out, you connect them together to make the pirate and then tape it on the wall. Next, you cut out the Parrots that are attached and write each childs name on them, which they then use to pin on the pirate! The children had such a wonderful time.

These are very colorful games with simple how-to instructions that you cannot go wrong with. These games kept us busy all night and even the next morning! I had such a great time and I know my child did. I would recommend these games for use during a party, or even just to have fun with friends and family. There are no restrictions or time limits so you can keep them forever and re-use them on other occasions, so games that may not be useful now may come in handy later.
